Record for the longest nails #1

Shridhar Chillal from Pune, India, holds the world record for the longest fingernails ever reached on a single hand, with a combined length of 9.096 m. Chillal’s longest single nail was his thumbnail, measuring 1.978 m. He stopped cutting his nails in 1952. Despite being proud of his record-breaking nails, Chillal suffered disfigurement of his fingers, loss of function in his left hand, and nerve damage to his left arm due to the weight of his fingernails. In 2018, Chillal had his fingernails cut with a power tool at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum in New York City, where the nails are now on display.
